I have been fascinated with painting and drawing
people and animals since I was very young; one of my earliest memories
is watching my Grandfather sketch pictures of animals with the drawing pencil
he always kept in his coat pocket.
Over the course of last decade I have become one of those lucky people who with
some dedication and a lot of help has managed to turn a passion for art into a profession and career
as a working artist. I have traded my fine suits for
clothes that always seem to have paint on them.
As a portrait painter and artist in northern Virginia
I have had the opportunity to meet and paint some of the most
interesting people, children, families, beloved pets, friends and
companions from all walks of life and backgrounds. Many customers have remained good friends.
On this website you will find a selection of portraits I have had the privilege to paint. The
gallery shows the development of my work over the past decade and it will
be obvious to those who have seen my work over the years that my portraiture is continually evolving.
